Bosa is located a short 30 minute drive from Alghero airport with low cost airlines flying in and out daily. The other two airports in Sardinia are Olbia and Cagliari; both are 2 hours drive from Bosa. All are very accessible with modern roads and excellent public transport.

FLY:

Ryanair fly to Alghero (Fertillia) airport from Stansted. Other carriers also fly to Alghero from East Midlands and other airports, although infrequently and not generally in
winter.

We recommend www.skyscanner.net for competitive prices

Easyjet fly to Alghero (via Milano). This can be marginally longer due to the change, but the prices and the times of flight are  very good.

Other carriers fly to Olbia which is a little further away, about 2 hours by car, but there is also a coach service. You can fly from Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and London Gatwick to Olbia, although not all flights are available all year round. Click here for details

For car hire we recommend Auto-europe who seem to be the cheapest and reliable, but it is always worth checking out others. Book your car hire before you come to Sardinia, as it can be more expensive once you get here. We will notify you of free parking spaces when the booking is confirmed.

FERRIES:

There are daily ferries from  Genova (North Italy) to Porto Torres; there are also ferries to and from Marseilles and Civitavecchia (Near Rome).

This means that you can drive to Sardinia or take the train.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

There are good bus services to Bosa but a very limited train service. From Fertillia Airport it is possible to get a bus into Alghero, and then buses on to Bosa. There are now bus services direct from the airport to Bosa as well.

Trains are very limited going just to the main cities such as Sassari, Macomer, Cagliari etc.
